Huntsville, Alabama is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to enhance our warehouse team. This position is critical for the efficient flow of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, sort, and store products, as well as load and unload delivery vehicles. Safety is our top priority, and we seek candidates who share this commitment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure safety and functionality.
- Report any equipment issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Must hold a valid forklift operator certification. Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting is required. Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and operating machinery. Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety practices. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow directions. Understanding of basic logistics principles is a plus. Prioritizing safety and the correct usage of PPE is non-negotiable.
