Join our busy team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in New York City, New York. This dynamic role is central to our warehouse operations, encompassing both the efficient processing of incoming goods and the accurate dispatch of outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our logistics flowing smoothly, from unloading trucks to preparing orders for delivery. A strong commitment to safety and accuracy is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against documentation.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Process and document outgoing shipments, ensuring all paperwork is accurate.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring correct items and quantities.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure the warehouse and dock areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Comply with all company Safety regulations and use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar warehouse role. Experience with forklift operation is highly desirable. Ability to handle physical demands, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory control. Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE . Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
