We are searching for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in San Diego, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes performing regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal stock levels. Your work will directly impact our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring product availability. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to identify areas for improvement in inventory processes. A keen eye for detail and a systematic approach are essential. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by researching transaction history.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
- Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out) to minimize spoilage and obsolescence.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, variances, and movement.
- Identify damaged or defective products and process returns or adjustments accordingly.
- Assist in the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate initial recording of inventory.
- Ensure all warehouse Safety standards are met, including proper storage and handling of materials, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory-related transactions.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Excel).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform accurate counts and attention to detail.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse automation is preferred.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform moderate Lifting as required.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of Safety and accuracy.
