Our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to our inventory processes. A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics are vital for success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status, identifying potential shortages or overages.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory movements and maintain data integrity.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to maintain product quality and safety.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Understand the critical role of inventory management within the broader logistics framework.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and WMS software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform Lifting tasks as needed, typically up to 40 pounds.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and other inventory control tools.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and supply chain principles.
