Ascension Via Christi is seeking a Board Certified Pediatrician to join our Family Medicine Faculty team in Wichita, Kansas.

Position Highlights:

• Flexible scheduling with 0.5 FTE (halftime) to full-time options.
• Provide high-quality pediatric care while partnering with family medicine residents in an academic teaching environment.
• Opportunity to provide inpatient newborn care, if desired.
• One of the largest Family Medicine Residency programs in the nation, known for training physicians who practice full-scope Family Medicine.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat pediatric patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills; collaborate with care teams to coordinate patient care.
• Recommend, participates in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
