Position summary:
The
QA Test Engineer/Analyst
supports a large enterprise technology program by executing a comprehensive testing strategy across multiple business process areas and systems. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining test plans, developing automated test scripts, documenting results, and contributing to process improvements. The Test Engineer/Analyst collaborates closely with functional, technical, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery and reliable business processes. Key responsibilities:
Partner with the Testing Center of Excellence (CoE), technical teams, and project leadership to support an enterprise-wide testing strategy, protocol, and methodology. Support test planning for new projects and routine system changes, including documentation of end-to-end business processes and development of QA integration and regression test scripts. Participate in test strategy discussions and provide input on automated testing feasibility and approach. Maintain the enterprise business process hierarchy and ensure alignment of processes, procedures, and test cases. Collaborate with the Test Delivery Lead and Test Automation CoE to configure and execute automation tools using the established automation framework. Create, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca. Work with QA and development teams to design test cases based on business processes, functional requirements, and user stories. Develop and maintain test plans and scripts; document results, defects, resolutions, and assist with root cause analysis. Execute automated test cases and report defects with clear documentation and comprehensive coverage. Manage test data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and availability for automated tests. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to optimize test processes and increase automation efficiency. Support enhancements to automation frameworks, libraries, and utilities to improve maintainability and scalability. Analyze and document test results, assisting teams through the defect lifecycle. Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to configure and maintain test environments. Produce and present test reports on execution progress, coverage, defects, and risks. Maintain high-quality test artifacts and support metrics and dashboard reporting for test execution and defect closure. Provide training and knowledge sharing to team members on Tricentis Tosca and automation best practices. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and methodologies related to testing and automation. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems/technology, computer science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Test Engineer/Analyst. 5+ years of experience with software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Moderate knowledge of finance, human capital management (HCM), logistics, and treasury processes. Ability to interpret functional and technical requirements and produce well-structured testing artifacts. Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Tricentis/Tosca certification (e.g., Tricentis Certified Professional - Tosca Testsuite). Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca, including Tosca Commander and Tosca TBox. Knowledge of SAP, SaaS enterprise systems, and S/4HANA migration testing, including change impact analysis. Familiarity with business process management and project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile/Scrum. Experience testing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications. Experience using additional testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., VBScript, JavaScript, Python) and automation frameworks. SQL and database knowledge for data validation in automated tests. Experience working with development teams and CI/CD pipelines. Additional skills:
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage a dynamic workload. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Skilled in documenting, modeling, and analyzing end-to-end business processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
