Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement and maintain safety and compliance standards across all plant activities.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to achieve operational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production processes and outcomes.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure equipment and machinery are maintained and upgraded as required.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
The Successful Applicant
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing plant operations within the engineering and manufacturing department. (Clinical waste handling advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to analyse operational data and implement strategic improvements.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
