The IT Specialist is a hands-on, on-site logistical and technical role within Entegro's Technology function, providing practical IT logistics, operational support, and internal escalation capability across the organisation. The role combines responsibility for end-user equipment lifecycle management and basic on-site IT support with the opportunity to progressively develop capability across Entegro's core business IT systems. It is designed to improve responsiveness, agility, and cost efficiency by reducing reliance on external IT partners for routine and low-volume tasks, while ensuring appropriate escalation and coordination for more complex issues.
This position suits an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn, rather than a fully-formed senior IT professional. The emphasis is on attitude, aptitude, and follow-through, supported by structured exposure to real-world systems and operational environments.
You will be responsible for the issuing, recovery, and accurate tracking of IT equipment, ensuring that all assets are correctly assigned, recorded, and auditable throughout their lifecycle. You will act as a first point of contact for low-volume provisioning and basic on-site IT tasks, providing practical support to users and escalating issues to Entegro's outsourced IT partner where appropriate.
In addition to day-to-day operational responsibilities, you will support one-off and project-based technical activities that benefit from on-site presence and internal context. Over time, you will develop working knowledge of Entegro's business IT platforms and infrastructure, enabling you to take on increased responsibility and contribute more broadly to the Technology function as your skills develop.
The role requires a methodical and reliable individual who is comfortable working across a varied workload, maintaining accurate records, and following tasks through to completion.

- Support one-off and project-based technical tasks, particularly where on-site presence improves efficiency or outcomes.
- Assist with coordination of user access, device readiness, and system changes related to business operations.
- Develop working knowledge of Entegro's core IT platforms over time, including Microsoft 365, Windows and Entra ID environments, Linux systems, databases, and networking fundamentals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes, documentation, and operational practices as experience grows.
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to record-keeping and task follow-through.
- A practical, hands-on mindset and willingness to engage directly with users, equipment, and systems.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work calmly and methodically through issues.
