Location: Play Away Day Nursery, 1-5 Chapel Road, West End, Southampton SO30 3FE

Salary: £28,600 per annum

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week) Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.

As a Room Leader, you will:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources for children, tailored to their age and stage of development.
• Enhance the overall daily needs of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
• Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and child learning journals with the highest quality.
• Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
• Support the implementation of an effective key person approach to help children form secure attachments.
• Maintain accurate records and accounts related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor at all times.
• Understand and ensure compliance with the statutory framework for the EYFS.

• A Level 3 childcare qualification (essential).
• Fluency in written and spoken English (essential).
• At least one year of experience working in Early Years.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and regulatory requirements.
• Right to work in the UK - Valid Passport or Settled/Pre-Settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
