As a Management Accountant, you will be part of the in‑house Finance team across a broad range of accounting and reporting activities in a fast‑paced renewable energy environment. This role focuses on the Commercial business unit and is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, cross‑functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and working papers in line with company procedures and accounting standards.
  
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
  
• Analyse project performance and variances against budget and highlight trends.
  
• Act as a finance business partner to the Sales and Commercial teams, analysing project contracts to identify risks, cashflow implications, pricing models, service levels and performance obligations.
  
• Lead and support budget and forecasting processes.
  
• Prepare and submit VAT, VAT RTD, RCT and CIS returns in a timely and compliant manner.
  
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support financial decision‑making.
  
• Ensure financial data integrity across accounting systems and support system improvements where required.
  
• Adhere to, and help develop, internal financial controls, policies and procedures.
  
• Undertake ad hoc finance and reporting tasks as required to support the growing business.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role, within an in‑house or industry environment.
  
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  
• Experience/knowledge of multi‑country EU tax is advantageous.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  
• Ability to prepare management accounts for reporting purposes together with cost analysis backup.
  
• Self‑motivated with the ability to manage workload independently and take ownership of tasks.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  
• Experience with Sage Accounts, Intac IQ and Salesforce is advantageous.
  
• Office based role so must live within a commutable distance of our HQ in Carrickmacross.
