Management Accountant

Our client, a growing international organisation, who is based in Athlone, is looking to hire an ambitious, newly qualified accountant to join their finance team in a newly created Management Accountant role. It is a full time permanent position. Hybrid work arrangements available after 6 months post successful probation.

In this role, you would be responsible for supporting the full accounting cycle, providing insightful financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.

• Prepare and post journals, reconcile key balance sheet accounts
  
• Manage accruals, prepayments, and supplier payments
  
• Conduct month-end performance reviews and variance analysis
  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  
• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors
  
• Prepare VAT returns and adhere to group policies
  
• Maintain supporting schedules and accurate financial records
  
• Work with large data sets to extract and analyse relevant financial information
  

• 
  
• Must be a qualified accountant with at least 2 xcfaprz years post-qualified experience
  
• Strong accounting skills and knowledge of accounting principles
  
• Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP/accounting software
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
  
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with non‑finance teams
