As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering advanced data science and AI solutions across healthcare systems. You’ll work at the intersection of applied research and real-world delivery, developing intelligent models that operate within complex, regulated healthcare environments.

This role combines deep hands-on technical work with influence across product, engineering, and clinical-facing teams.

• Develop, test, and refine advanced machine learning and AI approaches to support intelligent, semi-autonomous healthcare workflows
• Push forward capabilities in natural language understanding across clinical, operational, and administrative datasets
• Investigate and apply modern approaches to reasoning, decision support, and multi-modal data analysis
• Customise and optimise large language models for healthcare-specific terminology, data sensitivity, and governance requirements
• Design end-to-end data science workflows that combine structured and unstructured data sources, including clinical records, claims, and interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7
• Build and evolve specialised models that support clinical insight, operational efficiency, and healthcare financial processes
• Act as a technical contributor within cross-functional teams, providing guidance on AI and data science best practices
• Support and coach other data scientists and engineers through technical reviews, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving
• Stay close to emerging techniques and tooling, helping translate innovation into practical,
• Define and apply strong validation and monitoring approaches to ensure models are accurate, robust, and unbiased
• Work within healthcare data privacy, security, and compliance frameworks, ensuring solutions meet regulatory expectations
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to transition models from experimentation into reliable, production-grade systems

• Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related discipline
• Experience delivering machine learning or AI solutions, including models running in production environments
• Strong programming capability in Python and/or R, with hands-on use xcfaprz of modern ML libraries
• Practical experience with generative AI, large language models, and transformer-based techniques
• Familiarity with contemporary AI frameworks and toolchains such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, and retrieval-based systems
• Experience applying advanced analytics or AI within healthcare, life sciences, or similarly regulated domains
• Exposure to cloud-based environments (e.g. AWS) and production data science or MLOps workflows
• Working with multi-modal data (text, images, structured datasets)
• Experience incorporating knowledge graphs or symbolic approaches into data science solutions
• Demonstrated ability to take ideas from early exploration through to live, operational deployment
