A leading organisation in the financial services space is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join their Information Systems team. The business delivers secure, high‑availability digital platforms and is investing heavily in modernisation and new technology initiatives.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be a key contributor to both existing platforms and an exciting greenfield project, building new services from the ground up. This role blends hands‑on Java development, microservices design, and technical leadership within a collaborative, stakeholder‑facing environment.

• Design and deliver Java‑based solutions, including core components for a new greenfield microservices platform.
  
• Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of new services, features, and integrations.
  
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, QA, and cross‑functional teams to meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
  
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with architectural standards and best practices.
  
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

• 5+ years' experience as a Senior Java Developer working with Java/J2EE and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, MVC, Batch, Integration).
  
• Strong experience building REST APIs, working with SQL/RDBMS, and using tools such as Maven/Gradle and Git.
  
• Solid understanding of web application security, Linux environments, and Agile delivery.
  
• Practical experience using AI‑powered development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to support the software development lifecycle.
  
• Excellent communication skills with strong problem‑solving and stakeholder engagement ability.
  

Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Jenkins, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), DevOps tooling, or financial services systems.
