Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation for all shipments.
- Verify order details against shipping information to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track deliveries.
- Inspect packages for proper packaging and labeling before dispatch.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Update shipping records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and MS Office.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and proper use of PPE.
