Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Salt Lake City, Utah? We are hiring skilled individuals to join our professional logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise within our distribution center. Your primary duties will include operating various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to load and unload materials, transport goods between different areas of the warehouse, and assist with inventory management tasks. A strong emphasis is placed on safety; you must be proficient in operating machinery and strictly adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires excellent attention to detail, good spatial awareness, and the ability to handle moderate lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in a stable and organized manner.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Utilize required PPE at all times while operating machinery.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
