Join our innovative team as a Warehouse Technician in Kansas City, Missouri! We are looking for a skilled individual to maintain and operate our warehouse machinery and systems. This role requires a blend of technical aptitude and hands-on operational skills to ensure the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all systems are optimized for efficiency. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to enforce and adhere to all safety standards, including the correct use of PPE. This position is integral to our supply chain, contributing to the timely and accurate processing of goods. We value technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain specialized warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyor systems, automated sorters).
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with equipment.
- Ensure all warehouse systems are functioning optimally for logistics operations.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
- Adhere to strict Safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Provide training to other staff on equipment operation and safety.
- Support daily warehouse activities as needed, including some manual tasks and Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a technician or in a similar technical role within a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
