Landscape Construction Foreman

Location: JAYS LANDSCAPING LLC South Windsor, CT

Jay’s Landscaping LLC is a privately owned company located in South Windsor, CT

established in 1984 and the LLC was formed in 1999. Jay’s services the entire state of CT -

predominately in the Hartford County. We are year-round, full-service landscaping

service in addition to providing residential and commercial snow removal services. We

Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience + benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead and manage

landscape installation crews on residential and commercial projects. This role is hands-on

and leadership-driven, requiring strong field knowledge, crew management skills, and the

ability to deliver high-quality work on schedule and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily landscape construction operations

• Manage and direct crew members, equipment, and materials on site

• Interpret plans (blueprints), specifications, and work orders accurately

• Oversee grading, drainage, hardscape installation, and planting

• Ensure projects are completed safely and to company quality standards

• Communicate daily progress with project managers

• Maintain jobsite safety and enforce OSHA standards

• Track labor, materials, and production

• Train and mentor crew members

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in landscape construction

• 2+ years experience in a foreman or crew-lead role

• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans (blueprints) REQUIRED

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Current OSHA 10 card, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Equipment operation experience (skid steer, mini excavator)
