Nursery Third in Charge

Position: Room Leader - 36 hours per week (4 days)

Salary: £13.44 per hour

Qualification: Level 3 Childcare Qualification essential

Our beautiful converted house offers a home-from-home atmosphere at the heart of our community, with the capacity for 37 children across three inviting rooms. We prioritize children's emotional well-being, ensuring they feel safe and supported.

Our nursery operates from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM , and we are looking for someone who can work varied shift patterns within these hours.

As a Room Leader, you will play a vital role in shaping the experiences of our children. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
• Supporting children's physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
• Assisting staff with updating the EyLog system and maintaining high-quality learning journals.
• Leading by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
• Implementing an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments.
• Maintaining accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
• Understanding and meeting the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification (essential).
• Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years (essential).
• Over 6 months of experience in a senior position (desirable).
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating (desirable).
• Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements (essential).
• Fluency in written and spoken English (essential).
