Senior Supervising Social Worker

Location: Hybrid / Office - Cambuslang
Salary: Up to £41,948.53 per annum, based on experience
Status: Full-Time, 35 hours per week, permanent

• Support foster carers and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care.
• Monitor the suitability and competence of foster carers, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
• Guide carers in understanding their roles, responsibilities, and the standards expected of them.
• Provide regular supervision to foster carers in line with FCAS Operational Standards.
• Collaborate in a team parenting approach to identify and address the needs of foster families.
• Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and foster carers.
• Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams regarding care packages.
• Encourage the participation of children and young people in agency development and community resources.
• Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
• Support the referrals team through the day duty system on a rota basis.

• A Social Work qualification
• Valid Social Work registration or equivalent
• Proven ability to produce high-quality reports
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays
• Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations
• A full driving licence
