Join Our Team at Foster Care Associates Scotland (FCAS) Position: Senior Supervising Social Worker
Location: Hybrid / Office - Cambuslang
Salary: Up to £41,948.53 per annum, based on experience
Status: Full-Time, 35 hours per week, permanent

Your Role: Key Responsibilities- Support foster carers and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care.
- Monitor the suitability and competence of foster carers, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
- Guide carers in understanding their roles, responsibilities, and the standards expected of them.
- Provide regular supervision to foster carers in line with FCAS Operational Standards.
- Collaborate in a team parenting approach to identify and address the needs of foster families.
- Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and foster carers.
- Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams regarding care packages.
- Encourage the participation of children and young people in agency development and community resources.
- Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
- Support the referrals team through the day duty system on a rota basis.
- A Social Work qualification
- Valid Social Work registration or equivalent
- Proven ability to produce high-quality reports
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays
- Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations
- A full driving licence
