Junior Quantity Surveyor

They are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their Dublin-based team, working across office and site locations. The role sits within a close-knit commercial structure, reporting directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor and the Commercial Director, with exposure to estimating and project delivery functions.

This position has been created due to recent project wins and business expansion. The successful candidate will gain immediate involvement in live projects and will be supported to take on increasing responsibility as capability develops. The mandate is clear: develop the right individual into a Project QS within a structured and commercially disciplined environment.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. This is suited to someone who wants hands‑on experience across all aspects of cost management rather than being confined to a narrow scope of duties.

This is not a role where you will be siloed into subcontract packages or purely administrative tasks. You will gain direct exposure to procurement, contract administration, cost reporting, and client interaction from an early stage.

With a lean team structure — including a Commercial Director, Senior QS, QS and two Estimators — progression is merit‑based and visible. For the right individual, the pathway to Project QS level is realistic and accelerated.

• Assist with cost planning and budget preparation
  
• Support procurement processes and subcontractor package management
  
• Assist in preparing and managing CVRs
  
• Monitor project costs and variations
  
• Assist in managing interim valuations and payment applications
  
• Contribute to risk identification and commercial reporting
  
• Support final account preparation and negotiation
  
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
  

• 
  
• 1–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
  
• Degree‑qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
  
• Experience working with a main contractor preferred
  
• Exposure to commercial, remediation or refurbishment projects advantageous
  
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
  
• Good communication and organisational ability
  
• Ambition to progress into a Project QS role

• €45,000 – €55,000 salary (depending on experience)
