The Role   

Interns support the team on internal matters and active files, including:  

  • Researching issues, stakeholders, and media environments  
  • Monitoring traditional and social media for emerging risks and narratives  
  • Preparing media scans, backgrounders, and briefing materials  
  • Drafting and editing written materials with a focus on clarity and accuracy  
  • Supporting crisis and issues-management work  
  • Supporting internal tasks on an as needed basis  

This is a support role that requires discretion, sound judgment, and keen attention to detail. 

Who We’re Looking For   

Strong candidates bring:  

  • Interest in public affairs, communications, politics, policy, or reputational risk  
  • Clear, disciplined writing and analytical skills  
  • Professional judgment and respect for confidentiality  
  • Curiosity, and the ability to apply feedback  
  • Keen attention to detail  

Previous experience in a communications, public affairs, PR, or government relations agency is a strong asset.  

Exposure to government, political offices, media, or regulated sectors is also valued. 

Education   

Relevant fields include Communications, Journalism, English, Political Science, Public Policy, History, International Relations, or related degrees.
