As a Senior Solutions Architect at RapidScale, you will take on the role of a strategic advisor, effectively connecting complex multi-cloud technologies to the evolving business needs of our clients. By collaborating closely with our sales organization, you will lead discovery engagements, craft business-aligned solution strategies, and design hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, focusing on measurable outcomes rather than just individual technologies. In this pivotal role, you will enhance your expertise in RapidScale's hosted solutions while providing high-level guidance on our public cloud services. Your efforts will also include seamless coordination with our public cloud specialists, ensuring advanced discovery and solution design when client requirements necessitate a public cloud-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities Client Discovery & Consulting
Lead technical discovery engagements to identify customer business goals, pain points, and drivers. Translate requirements into tailored, outcome-focused cloud and infrastructure solutions. Facilitate workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and stakeholder interviews. Balance breadth and depth , knowing when to focus on deep architectural design versus business outcomes for various customer personas.
Solution Architecture & Design
Architect hybrid and multi-cloud environments that meet performance, availability, security, and compliance needs. Represent our hosted cloud and core offerings
at a technical level, fully scoping, architecting, and presenting these solutions. Represent our public cloud offerings
at a high level, discerning customer needs that require public cloud solutions, and engaging public cloud specialists for deeper engagement when necessary. Collaborate to architect multi-cloud and hybrid solutions
that ensure optimal alignment with customer outcomes.
Collaboration & Leadership
Serve as the technical lead throughout the sales cycle, from discovery to hand-off. Collaborate with sales, product, and specialist teams to align solutions with account strategy. Participate in proposals, solution reviews, and scope definitions.
Security and Compliance
Design security architectures that include MDR, SOCaaS, IAM, SIEM/SOAR, and vulnerability management. Ensure solutions comply with standards such as HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, ISO, and NIST.
Networking & Connectivity
Design secure and high-performance networks integrating SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls across on-premises and cloud environments.
Technology Evangelism
Stay abreast of emerging technologies (cloud, AI/ML, automation, cybersecurity) and translate these innovations into actionable business strategies. Educate clients and internal teams about current and future state capabilities. Showcase RapidScale's innovative technology solutions and roadmap to illustrate anticipated business outcomes.
Qualifications Minimum A BA/BS Degree with 6+ years of experience, an MS Degree with 4+ years of experience, a Ph.D with one year of experience, or 10 years of overall experience without a degree. Professional Level Public Cloud Certification (AWS, Azure, Google). Demonstrated experience in a sales context. Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. Preferred Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Hosted Cloud / Traditional IT:
Deep expertise in private cloud and data center architectures (VMware, Citrix, storage, networking). Public Cloud:
Foundational knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP and their distinctions from traditional IT, including their business benefits. Security and Compliance:
Experience in managed security services and designing compliant architectures. Networking:
Strong understanding of hybrid connectivity, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, and firewalls. Storage, Backup and DR:
Experience in designing SAN and NAS solutions, as well as data protection and disaster recovery strategies. DevOps & Automation:
Familiarity with CI/CD processes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and contemporary deployment practices is a plus. Compensation: The position offers a base salary range of $129,400.00 - $194,000.00, which may vary based on location and the candidate's experience. This role also includes an annual incentive/commission target of $52,800.00. Benefits: We offer eligible employees flexible paid vacation, seven paid holidays, and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually. Additional paid leave options include bereavement, voting leave, jury duty, volunteer time, military leave, and parental leave.
