State Street is the largest financial administrator in Ireland, and this position offers an opportunity for the successful candidate to manage a team in the Financial Reporting department of our leading fund with opportunities for career development across the funds industry.


About the role

As part of our expansion of operations in Dublin, we are expanding our financial reporting team. This senior leadership role involves leading financial reporting delivery across key client relationships, managing and developing a team, driving departmental strategy locally and globally, strengthening internal controls and risk management processes, and representing State Street Ireland financially at industry, regional and global levels.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the financial reporting department, collaborating with departmental head and senior colleagues, and overseeing operations of core financial reporting teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, counterparties and other external parties.
  • Drive transformational change, encouraging new ways to improve efficiency through technology, automation, process review and change.
  • Maintain and develop technical expertise, providing advice to clients and demonstrating sound technical judgment.
  • Manage staff performance, implementing ongoing development plans for career progression.
  • Review and update departmental operational processes to ensure effective controls and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, promoting a risk‑excellence culture.
  • Represent State Street Ireland financial reporting at industry, State Street regional and global levels as appropriate.

Education & preferred qualifications

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA) with a business or related degree and at least 8–10 years’ experience in a similar financial reporting environment.


Education support

State Street provides full support to train and qualify as a professional accountant with any of the professional bodies (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) or other qualifications appropriate to the role.
