Civil Design Engineer

Vickerstock are delighted to be supporting a rapidly growing multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy with the recruitment of a Civil Design Engineer for their Dublin studio.

This role offers an excellent chance for an experienced civil engineer to join a collaborative, purpose‑led practice delivering design‑led engineering solutions across a mix of sectors. You'll be working on technically diverse and impactful projects that help shape resilient places and infrastructure, from public realm and regeneration schemes to community‑focused developments across Ireland and the UK.

As Civil Design Engineer, you will play a leading role in the technical delivery and coordination of civil engineering projects, supporting project teams from concept through to detailed design and construction.

• Leading civil engineering design and delivery on a range of projects across sectors such as public infrastructure, regeneration, residential and commercial developments.
  
• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and aligned with project objectives.
  
• Preparing and reviewing detailed calculations, reports and technical drawings.
  
• Communicating effectively with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
  
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers within project teams.
  
• Contributing to business development and technical excellence initiatives as part of a growing studio.
  

To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:

• 
  
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  
• Significant post‑graduate experience in civil engineering design and delivery.
  
• Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
  
• Strong technical capability with industry standard tools (e.g., Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD).
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  
• A collaborative, solution‑oriented mindset focused on quality and impact.
  
• Chartered status or progression towards chartership would be desirable.
