Senior Audit Manager

Brightwater are delighted to partner with a leading a progressive and proactive Audit, Tax, Accounting and Business Advisory firm based in Central Dublin. They are currently seeking to add to their growing team Audit Senior Manager to join their team of accountants and tax professionals on a permanent basis.

The successful candidates will lead and oversee audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, managing audit teams, and communicating findings to directors and partners. They play a crucial role in risk management and developing audit plans and will manage and work with clients and their teams.

• 
  
• Review and control all assignment outputs
  
• Review audit file and ensure it is complete in accordance with best auditing practice
  
• Identify significant problems in the client’s operations and recommend appropriate action by utilising expertise from the assignment team or elsewhere in the firm
  
• Perform detailed tasks including work of an advanced technical nature
  
• Maintain contact with client during engagement including attendance at client meetings
  
• Continue to develop technical skills through reading or attending courses Maintain minimum CPD requirements
  
• Have a good knowledge of the effect of taxes on a set of accounts
  
• Have a good knowledge of the technical aspects concerning a set of accounts
  
• Meet annual chargeable targets and monitor portfolio and raise bills for approval
  
• Identify added value items for the client and highlight to manager
  
• Communicate and build excellent relationships with clients
  
• Be the expert in the knowledge of the client’s business Develop positive commercial relationships with clients
  
• Motivate and encourage a positive working environment Contribute to managers’ work planner, resource management Support managers in client commitment and deadlines
  
• Supervise and train team members and offer constructive feedback
  

• 
  
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA/CPA) with minimum 5 years’ experience working in audit in a practice environment.
  
• Good attention to detail and time management skills.
  
• Experience of consolidation and group accounts is a distinct advantage
  
• Strong technical knowledge. xcfaprz
  
• Strong IT skillset, including experience with audit and accounting software applications.
