Job Description

The Branch Manager provides leadership and direction to ensure branch operations meet financial, operational, and compliance goals while achieving profitability, growth, adherence to company standards, along with meeting or exceeding other company goals. Managing branch development and operations within established budgets and staying in compliance with the Company's policies and procedures in accordance with all applicable federal, state, or local laws.

General Responsibilities:

The Branch Manager reports directly to the District Manager or as otherwise noted.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

The branch manager is responsible to be out in the field selling our services daily up to 70% of the day.

• Oversees day-to-day operations of the branch and assists when needed.

• Process payroll and approve timesheets.

• Administer the hiring, developing, counseling, promoting and termination of internal and external employees to ensure a professional and competent workforce and success of employees.

• Conduct weekly staff meetings to ensure clear and open communication.

• Monitor KPIs, client satisfaction, and financial metrics to ensure accountability and results.

• Respond to and effectively mitigate complaints from employees, customers or vendors when escalated.

• Ensure that profit margins, market share, P&Ls, net operating income, sales budgets, control costs and revenue goals are met and/or exceeded.

• Utilize and develop a relational sales approach to increase sales opportunities and perform outside sales calls across a diverse customer base for maximum profitability.

• Divide time equitably between operations and sales to ensure profitability, growth and professional development.

• Implement and manage a detailed marketing campaign to identify trends and competition in designated markets to maximize opportunities and minimize risks.

• Ensure worker safety by performing job site safety evaluations, educating and coaching workers, reporting injuries to Risk Management and providing proper PPE to employees.

• Ensure best match for dispatch through effective training and mentoring and provide high quality customer service to all employees, customers and vendors.

• Oversee Staffing Specialist training. Create programs and conduct employment evaluations as needed to develop the compliance and skills of the branch staff.

• Revise branch practice and guidelines when appropriate to adapt to new programs, goals, initiatives and implement new programs.

• Recognize branch level accomplishments. Evaluate and benchmark branch for performance, compliance, and innovation. Foster an environment of inclusion and conduct audits for operations, personnel performance, and corrective action plans.

• Establish and maintain positive professional relationships both internally and externally to ensure the highest quality of customer service to employees, customers and vendors.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Experienced in sales and ability to build the branch. Must be comfortable cold calling, walking into job sites, and leading by example in daily sales activity to grow the branch's book of business.

• General computer knowledge, understanding of Google Suite or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, Drive) & Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Typing with accuracy and proficiency

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent customer service and listening skills

• Excellent organization, strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Develop strategies to disseminate information.

• Understanding of Dispatching Process

• Experience with Sales, proven ability to identify and qualify potential customers through cold calls, field visits, networking and digital research tools.

• Comfortable making 50+ outbound calls per day and conducting regular cold stops to generate new business

• Negotiation and closing skills, confidence and skill in presenting pricing, handling objections, and closing business with decision-making

• Knowledge of contracts and negotiations

• Skilled at uncovering customer pain points and presenting tailored staffing solutions that address their needs

• Basic mathematical skills to include addition, subtraction and problem solving

• Strong customer service, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical abilities with a data-driven approach

• Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve results across functions.

• Financial acumen to read business financials and make budget-aligned decisions

• Clean background and driving record are required

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, guidance e-mails, and manuals

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to question from groups of internal staff, temporary employees, and clients

• Ability to work independently or as a team member

• Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business forms, manuals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations

• Ability to work with a diverse group of people

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience, required

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or equivalent experience, preferred
