JOB DESCRIPTION

The mobile mechanic plays a key role as the guardian of the performance of our semi-trailers—regardless of make or model—by working directly at our clients’ locations. With strong mechanical expertise and a high level of autonomy, the incumbent is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure transportation operations run smoothly.

YOUR ROLE

• Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on trailers
• Install and/or repair air, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Assemble and/or repair suspensions, axles and braking systems
• Repair or replace structural components such as floors, walls, doors, and roofs
• Carry out general mechanical work
• Use various tools and specialized equipment to diagnose, isolate and repair faults

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• College diploma trade, vocational school certificate or equivalent vocational training (trailer mechanic is an asset)
• 5 years of work experience with vocational training, or 10 years of relevant work experience without formal training
• Ability to repair general components (floors, walls, doors) on all makes and models.
• Familiarity with industry standards for trailer maintenance and repair practices
• Skilled in performing welding operations in all positions

REQUIRED ABILITIES

• Hold a valid Licensed 310J, combined with (5) years of experience
• Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstracts
• Must be able to weld in all positions,
• Ability to work independently, with little supervision and as part of a team
• Adhere to safety protocols in an industrial setting
• Ability to work in a collaborative digital environment

• Highly skills in manual tasks
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Solid communication skills

SCHEDULE

Full-time: Monday to Friday : from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

A competitive salary, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience

• Hourly wage: From $33,53 to $43,55 per hour
