About Strategy Institute

Strategy Institute is a leading B2B conference company producing premium executive-level summits across North America. Our events bring together senior decision-makers across AI, healthcare, finance, customer experience, data, HR, and emerging technologies. We are expanding our portfolio and are hiring a dedicated Conference Researcher to strengthen our idea of validation and market intelligence capabilities.

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded Conference Researcher responsible for identifying, validating, and pressure-testing new event concepts before they move into production. This role is focused exclusively on research, validation, and commercial feasibility—not event execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured validation calls with 20–40 potential delegates and 10–20 potential sponsors per concept.
  • Assess willingness to attend, budget ownership, competitive landscape, and timing feasibility.
  • Track competing events globally and analyze pricing, attendance, sponsors, and differentiation.
  • Build market opportunity scorecards and produce Go / No-Go recommendations.
  • Develop target delegates and sponsor databases to support future launches.
  • Produce 1–2 validated event business cases per month.
  • Contribute to quarterly trend intelligence reports and annual opportunity mapping.
  • Assess buying authority, budget ownership, urgency, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop total addressable market (TAM) estimates and revenue projections.
  • Benchmark global competitor events (pricing, audience size, sponsor mix, positioning).
  • Produce Go / No-Go recommendation decks for leadership.
  • Build target delegates and sponsor databases to accelerate launches.
  • Test Ideas that have been created by management to validate them
  • Identify white-space opportunities within North American B2B event markets.

What You’ll Own

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in research, consulting, B2B market intelligence, publishing, or conference production.
  • Strong phone-based research and stakeholder interviewing skills.
  • Analytical mindset with commercial awareness.
  • Ability to build structured reports, competitive analyses, and business cases.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in B2B conferences or events is an asset.

Compensation & Growth

Competitive base salary (Toronto benchmark: ), plus performance incentives tied to validated concepts launched. Clear growth path into Senior Research Lead, Portfolio Strategy Manager, or Commercial Strategy Director.
