Associate General Counsel

Our client, a global aerospace and defence company with a longstanding presence in Canada and a significant international footprint, seeks an Associate General Counsel to join its Ottawa office. Reporting to the VP & GC based in the U.S., this is a senior leadership role (formerly a GC role) that offers a meaningful responsibility in supporting the Canadian business on complex commercial, strategic, cross-border and operational matters.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience, along with strong commercial and negotiation skills as well as the ability to partner closely with senior leadership. This is ideal for a private practice lawyer (Either in litigation or corporate commercial) looking to pivot in-house or a senior in-house lawyer looking to expand their scope and visibility within an international organization with significant growth potential. Common law degree is required. This is a hybrid work model and will be based in Ottawa. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.
