Safety Manager

Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Safety Manager to lead on-site construction safety across all project phases. This field-focused role ensures compliance with OSHA, Bayer standards, and project safety requirements, while fostering a proactive safety culture and mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor safety and field compliance
• Conduct safety orientations, pre-construction reviews, and toolbox talks
• Review and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
• Perform inspections, audits, and Behavioral-Based Safety (BBS) observations
• Lead incident investigations and prepare safety reports
• Manage contractor qualifications, permits, and site safety documentation
• Serve as liaison between contractors, project teams, and site leadership

Qualifications

• 1+ years of construction safety management experience
• OSHA 510 Construction Safety certification required
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
• Proficiency with digital auditing tools and mobile devices
• Ability to work primarily in the field and engage directly with crews
