Business Solutions Advisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and document business architecture for initiatives under their responsibility
• Recommend optimal initiative breakdown and delivery sequencing
• Ensure alignment of initiatives with enterprise architecture targets
• Contribute to cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments of proposed business opportunities and initiatives
• Coordinate the actions of key stakeholders involved in business architecture mandates
• Advise, support, and influence the organization from a continuous improvement and innovation perspective
• Lead workshops and provide leadership on assigned initiatives
• Ensure adherence to the defined scope of work
• Ensure alignment with the architecture team regarding solutions, directions, decisions, and issues

Required Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business architecture, including 5 years in property and casualty insurance
• Practical experience in claims
• Experience in large-scale projects/programs
• Autonomous leadership in managing business architecture mandates
• Experience leading and facilitating executive workshops
• Strong executive-level communication and writing expertise in an influential role
• Knowledge of the Guidewire/Claims ecosystem
• Experience as a business architect in large projects involving multiple system integrations
• Will also work on files involving integrations with Policy, Billing, Finance, Customer, etc.
• Knowledge of the insurance and claims industry
• Ability to write business needs and business requirements
• Ability to produce business architecture documentation
• Ability to support business analysts by coaching them on writing requirements, validating their analysis documents, and providing direction
• Ability to prepare positioning papers and present them to project committees
• Bilingual
