Role Overview:As a key player in our team, you will set up and operate both computer numerically controlled and manual machines to perform essential machining operations. Your expertise will ensure that we continue to deliver high-quality products that meet our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and process sheets to determine machining requirements.
- Download programs from a DNC storage system and interpret work instructions.
- Select and install appropriate tooling for various operations.
- Calculate feeds and speeds for different materials, including steel, copper, and aluminum.
- Perform quality inspections and adhere to applicable quality systems.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement activities to enhance productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, supporting best practices for safety and quality.
- Work rotating Day/Back/Night shifts as needed.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and machining disciplines.
- Health and Safety awareness, with a preference for experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, and Haas.
- Experience with precision inspection equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm.
- Self-motivated with strong facilitation skills in a team environment.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- HNC Engineering preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lean-manufacturing environment.
