We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse team in Denver, Colorado. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This critical role ensures that goods are transported to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines seamlessly, supporting our extensive logistics network. You will operate various types of forklifts, including counterbalance, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, ensuring all movements are conducted with the utmost care and precision. Adherence to strict safety regulations is paramount, and you will be expected to perform daily equipment inspections, maintain a clean work environment, and operate within designated safety zones. This position involves significant lifting and material handling responsibilities, often requiring the movement of heavy loads. Proper use of mandatory PPE , such as hard hats, safety vests, and steel-toed boots, is required at all times. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent spatial awareness, and has a proven track record of safe operation. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Transport goods between different warehouse areas, including loading docks and storage.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including traffic rules within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and locations.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as required.
- Receive and verify incoming shipments.
- Ensure proper handling of all materials to prevent damage.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Ability to perform lifting and maneuver loads weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Good communication skills.
