Our dynamic warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our dedicated logistics team. You will play a critical role in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise within our facility. This position requires a strong commitment to Safety, efficiency, and accuracy in all operations. Your expertise with forklifts ensures the smooth flow of goods throughout our warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling and security of goods.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations, including receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Accurately stage products for order picking and outbound shipments.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from hazards.
- The ability to assist with general warehouse duties, including some Lifting, when not operating equipment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
- Ensure all movements are conducted in a manner that prevents damage to products and equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training for forklift operation and warehouse Safety best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
