Join our vibrant warehouse operations in Phoenix, Arizona, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! We are seeking dependable individuals to manage the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and organization.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues promptly.
- Accurately record received and shipped items into the warehouse management system.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including selecting appropriate packaging, labeling, and staging for carriers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and orderly dock area and warehouse, ensuring clear access and safety.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as directed.
- The ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs is a core requirement of this role.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics department.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge of warehouse best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant lifting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
