We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, ensuring that inventory is properly stored, organized, and accessible. Your tasks will include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, transporting goods to and from various departments, and maintaining accurate inventory counts. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong focus on operational efficiency and workplace Safety . The ideal candidate is dependable, possesses excellent spatial awareness, and has experience with warehouse equipment. A commitment to our Logistics and operational goals is essential. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper stacking and organization.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting colleagues and performing other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Forklift Operator, or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification is a significant advantage.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks involving frequent bending, stooping, and Lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
