We are hiring a diligent Order Picker to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing products for shipment, ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. This position is a cornerstone of our warehouse operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics chain. Your daily tasks will involve reading order tickets, locating items within the warehouse, and retrieving them with precision. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the items are correctly staged for the packing department. A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach are essential for success. Safety is our top priority, and all team members must strictly adhere to safety protocols and wear the designated PPE. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and movement throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items based on order lists and system prompts.
- Locate products efficiently within the warehouse.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to designated staging areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to a supervisor.
- Meet performance targets for picking speed and accuracy.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Understand and follow warehouse logistics and workflow procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- A strong commitment to following instructions and performing duties effectively in a logistics setting.
