We are actively recruiting Picker/Packers for our busy logistics hub located in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled with precision and speed. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from our inventory and then securely packing them for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and retrieve correct items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Pack products carefully to prevent damage during transit, using appropriate materials.
- Ensure all orders are correctly labeled and staged for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety standards.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as part of the picking and packing process.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics concepts.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Adherence to all safety regulations and proper usage of PPE is essential.
