We are looking for dedicated and energetic individuals to join our team as Distribution Center Associates in Washington, D.C. This role is essential for the efficient operation of our distribution center, encompassing a wide range of tasks from receiving goods to preparing them for dispatch. You will be involved in inventory management, order picking and packing, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and safety of the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work effectively in a team, and a commitment to following all safety protocols. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and moving throughout the facility. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments.
- Stock merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and utilize required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
