We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art warehouse in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is essential for the efficient movement, organization, and storage of materials within our facility, directly supporting our extensive logistics network. You will operate industrial equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport, stack, and manage inventory. Responsibilities also include loading and unloading shipments, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and maintaining a safe, clutter-free work environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, possesses strong operational skills, and thrives in a physically demanding setting. Compliance with all safety protocols and the mandatory use of PPE is non-negotiable. Significant lifting and physical exertion are expected.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from inbound and outbound trucks.
- Move, organize, and stack inventory in designated areas.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock management.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all safety regulations and using PPE.
- Inspect equipment for proper functioning and report any issues.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Support overall logistics operations through efficient material flow.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational targets.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating warehouse equipment. Demonstrable knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and the critical role of PPE. Must be physically capable of frequent heavy lifting, up to 70 lbs. Excellent coordination and mechanical aptitude. Experience in a logistics or distribution environment is strongly preferred.
