Our growing logistics operation in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to join our team. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the movement and organization of materials and products. You will be responsible for receiving, transporting, and preparing materials for distribution. Key duties include using equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks to move goods, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining an organized inventory. A commitment to workplace safety is paramount, requiring strict adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position demands stamina for consistent Lifting and physical activity. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse associates to ensure efficient logistics and timely order fulfillment. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. Understanding of warehouse safety and efficient material handling techniques is essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving.
- Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including banding and wrapping.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use and maintenance of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support overall logistics goals by ensuring efficient material flow.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and performing manual labor for extended periods.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Basic understanding of logistics principles.
