Join our team as a Picker/Packer in our busy warehouse located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! We are searching for dedicated individuals who can efficiently pick items from warehouse shelves and accurately pack them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will be responsible for reading order sheets or using scanning devices to locate and gather products, and then preparing them for transit by boxing them securely and applying shipping labels. A strong commitment to accuracy and speed is essential. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain an organized and productive workflow. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of warehouse operations and a dedication to following safety procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including Lifting and movement throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order sheets or scanning devices.
- Pack items securely into boxes, ensuring proper protection for transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy and product condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and warehouse area.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing goals.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
- Support efficient logistics by maintaining speed and accuracy.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and labels.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and willingness to wear required PPE.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Team player mentality.
