We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse facility. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations and ensuring timely delivery of goods. You will work closely with our warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to all company policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth within our expanding logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving goals.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage.
- Follow all instructions from warehouse supervisors and managers regarding logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
