Join our vital logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a Material Handler. This role is integral to the efficient movement and organization of materials within our busy warehouse. The Material Handler will be responsible for physically moving, locating, and preparing materials and products for storage or shipment. The ideal candidate is physically fit, dependable, and understands the importance of safety in a warehouse setting. You'll be working with a variety of materials, requiring care and precision. This position offers a great chance to contribute to a well-oiled logistics operation and develop skills in material handling.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using manual methods or equipment.
- Stack, palletize, and organize materials.
- Count and verify materials against shipping or receiving documents.
- Identify and report damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting and manual labor (up to 60 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
