We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound logistics process at our facility in Tampa, Florida. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing, processing, and coordinating shipments of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and a thorough understanding of shipping procedures and documentation. You will work closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced logistics environment are essential. Your role is critical in maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Maintain shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with warehouse associates to ensure timely order preparation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipping-related issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with shipping software and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
