Our Richmond, Virginia location seeks a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of our inventory accuracy. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to minimize discrepancies. Your work is essential for optimizing our logistics operations, ensuring that we have the right products available at the right time. We are looking for someone with a sharp analytical mind, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse management and Safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all warehouse locations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock quantities.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure proper stock rotation and location.
- Generate inventory reports, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations related to inventory storage and handling.
- Proper use of PPE and adherence to Safety guidelines during all inventory-related tasks.
- Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and purchasing teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, impacting overall Safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, methods, and best practices.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of Safety procedures within a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve light to moderate Lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to wear and use required PPE.
