Our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting our customers' expectations. You will manage the preparation of shipping documents, coordinate with carriers, and maintain records of all outgoing parcels. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount in this position. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
- Verify shipment contents against orders, ensuring accuracy before dispatch.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Operate shipping software and equipment, such as scales and label printers.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments, including tracking information.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure that all packages are properly packed and secured for transit, adhering to Lifting guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety protocols and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Assist in receiving and organizing incoming goods as needed.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues related to shipments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/warehouse role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and general computer applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with logistics and shipping procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Safety regulations and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Ability to perform light Lifting tasks as required.
