We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and accuracy are key to our customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and accurately interpret pick lists or order forms.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Use of hand-held scanners and other equipment to track picked items.
- Verify product information and quantities against order requirements.
- Report any discrepancies or out-of-stock items to supervisors.
- Transport picked items to packing or staging areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand pick tickets and product labels.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
