Join our team as a Shipping Clerk in Atlanta, Georgia, and be at the forefront of our logistics operations! We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage the outbound flow of goods from our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, ensuring accurate labeling, and verifying that all outgoing shipments meet quality standards. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet shipping deadlines. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers. We foster a collaborative environment focused on efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists).
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with freight carriers.
- Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Maintain organized shipping records.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as scales and pallet wrappers.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
Qualifications:
Experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role is highly desirable. Proficiency in using shipping software and general computer skills is essential. Ability to perform some light lifting may be required. Must possess strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. A commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE is paramount. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are necessary for success in this role.
