We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations in Madison, Wisconsin. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing a team of warehouse associates, and ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and accuracy. This is a critical leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of warehouse logistics. You will play a key part in optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory integrity, and fostering a culture of safety and productivity. We are looking for a leader who can motivate their team and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory control, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring proper operation and maintenance schedules.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe Lifting practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits and team meetings to reinforce safety awareness.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on warehouse operations.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven experience in managing warehouse staff and operations.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce safety protocols, including PPE usage and safe Lifting techniques.
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with forklift operation and other warehouse equipment.
